Chief vs Grok Bot
Grok Bot is a team of always-on agents from SpaceXAI, in beta since 11 August 2026, that work on a cloud computer. Chief is a hosted marketing lead with a team behind it. Here is how they differ, with sources.
What Grok Bot is
Grok Bot is a beta product from SpaceXAI, launched on 11 August 2026. You keep named Bots, each with a job, and each keeps its own memory and preferences across sessions. SpaceXAI says it started as an internal prototype that spread across the company, for work such as sales outbound, marketing campaigns, office operations and bug fixes.
Your Bots work on a persistent cloud computer with a browser, files and a terminal, so work continues while your laptop is closed. They sign into the web apps you use, use connectors where they exist, and can run saved skills as routines on a schedule. You reach them in desktop apps for macOS, Windows and Linux, in the iPhone, iPad and Android apps, and by tagging @bot on X.
It comes with SuperGrok plans, paid Cursor plans and The X Subscription from Premium up, with its own weekly usage. Enterprise access goes through sales. It suits people who want agents that work through their web apps on many kinds of tasks.
Where Grok Bot is ahead
- It is a general agent with the browser, files and terminal of its own cloud computer.
- It can use web apps that have no connector, through that browser.
- Several Bots can work in parallel and hand work to each other.
- It comes with paid Cursor, SuperGrok and X Subscription plans you may already have.
Running agents on your accounts
Grok Bot’s docs say all your Bots share one cloud computer, with the same files, browser sessions and sign-ins. They advise against treating separate Bots as a security boundary, and against putting a credential or file on that computer if another of your Bots should not use it. The docs also say Bot computers run in the United States today.
What Chief is
Chief is FeedSquad’s AI marketing lead. It plans your week, drafts posts for LinkedIn, X and Threads, and coordinates the agents on your plan. It does that one job, in five ways.
Integrated
A team stands behind Chief. Specialist agents draft each format, Handler publishes to LinkedIn, X and Threads, and Stash is the brand memory they all read. Briefings and approvals come to Telegram, and an email brief arrives on working days.
Inside your brand rules
Drafts start from Stash: your voice and facts, each marked approved or blocked. Your “never again” rules carry into every plan. Proactive pings stop at 5 a working day and arrive only in your working hours.
Approval first
Nothing publishes until you approve it, and your edit is the text that ships.
Marketing flows only
A weekly plan with its reasons, the posts per channel that carry it out, and results that feed the next plan. Chief is not a general-purpose assistant.
No setup
Chief is hosted. Sign up and connect your channels. There are no servers, API keys, skills or hosting to manage.
